Funds support arts-related activities, which may include workshops, exhibits, performances, concerts, festivals, screenings, readings, cultural programming, artist-initiated projects, and public school arts residencies in Dutchess, Orange, and Ulster counties. Floral Arranging with Erica

Tuesday, September 25 7:00-8:30 pm During this fun-filled workshop we will be using a variety of interesting autumn flowers to create a burst of color that will draw attention and beautify the home. In addition, you’ll also learn essential tips on flower purchasing and care. Note: Participants should bring SMALL SHARP clippers and or scissors. Some might wish to wear an apron. Material fee: $15.00. Containers will be provided. About our presenter: Erica was the owner of The Flower Market in Westchester County for more than 20 years. She provided flowers and event planning, from simple occasions to high profile venues that included The Pierre and The Rainbow Room in New York City to, locally, Tappan Hill, The Kittle House and the Westchester Country Club. Stop the Bleed

Presented by Joseph A. Ryan Medical Reserve Corps Coordinator Dutchess County Department of Emergency Response   Tuesday, September 18 7:00-9:00 pm Stop the Bleed is intended to encourage bystanders to become empowered to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives. A person who is bleeding can die from blood loss within five minutes, therefore it is important to quickly stop the blood loss by any means necessary. Participants will receive “hands on” training in the proper use of direct pressure, wound packing and tourniquets. Registration is required.
