Get Ready for Battle of the Books 2018!

The books for the Middle and High School Battles of the Books have been officially released! If you are considering joining the middle or high school battle team, you can get a head start on reading now! Beginning in February, the library will host a Battle of the Books Book Club for the middle school books. We will meet every first and third Thursday from 5:00-6:00 to discuss one of the books. You do not have to plan on joining the team to be a part of the book club, and if you cannot make the book club you can still join the team if you come to practices in the summer. More information about the battle and the lists of books can be found at www.pawlinglibrary.org/teenprograms/battle/  If you are considering joining one of the teams this year or have questions about Battle of the Books, contact Kate at teen@pawlinglibrary.org.

Sign up to attend the Human Library Project

You can sign up to attend the event and “read” human books. Human books share their stories with small groups of up to four people. The event connects human books with educators and members of the public in order to enhance relationships and foster open communication among individuals.
