About our presenter: Maya Gottfried is the author of three children’s books, including Good Dog and Our Farm: By the Animals of Farm Sanctuary (both published by Knopf), as well as the adult nonfiction lifestyle guide Vegan Love. Her essays have appeared in media outlets including Oprah Daily, The Washington Post, and Stat (Boston Globe Media).

Simon created a variety of works of art for Broadway and the famed Radio City Music Hall in the form of posters, playbills, and magazine illustrations. He was also a theatrical cartoonist, and his art appeared in publications such as the Daily News, and the New York Daily Mirror, just to name a few. His son, actor, director, Roger Hendricks Simon, will be reminiscing about the gifted career of his talented father, and how he interpreted theatre & film through his art during the 1920s and 30s.
