Stage 7 Re-Opening

On Saturday May 1st, the Pawling Library entered Stage 7 of our re-opening protocols. This means we are resuming limited, socially-distant in-person programming. Up to 14 visitors are permitted into each building. Each person must wear a mask and may stay for up to one hour per visit (or longer, if nobody is waiting for a turn to use the library). FREE English (ESOL) Online Tutoring

Library Re-Opens February 12th

Starting on Friday, February 12th, the Pawling Library will once again be open to the public. On the 12th, we will move to stage 5 of our re-opening protocols. Up to ten patrons at a time will be allowed to enter the library. Each person must wear a mask and may stay for up to one hour per visit. Contactless Checkout and Virtual Services

As of December 27th, the Pawling Library is not open to the public. Instead we are offering contactless checkout and virtual services. Library staff will be on-hand to answer phone calls and emails and to facilitate contactless checkout. Emergency Board Meeting

The Board of Trustees of the Pawling library will conduct an emergency board meeting on Zoom. The meeting will be a teleconference scheduled for Friday December 18th at 10:45 AM. Election Results Are In! Wonka Sweeps!

With over 200 votes cast in the races for President of the Children’s and YA books the winner is clear. Willy Wonka has won both offices! Congratulations to Julian, Grade 5, winning the top prize with his nomination of Mr. Wonka for children’s section president and the best campaign slogan “Book are as scrumptious as sweet chocolate.” Congratulations to Joslyn, Grade 9, for winning top prize for the YA section president. Her Willy Wonka platform narrowly won in a race against Hermione Granger. Thank you from all of us for your participation whether you put forth a candidate or participated in the vote! Participants will be receiving email notices from Phil about the when, where, and how to collect their prizes!

President of the Library Books: Voting Open Now!

Voting has begun for our President of the Library Books competition. Young patrons have submitted their fictional nominees and now the community will decide which ones will serve as the President of the Children’s Section and the adjacent office of President of the YA section.
