It is composed of three basic parts: the heart, which is responsible for pumping; the blood vessels, which act as the channels to connect one body part to another; and the blood, which is a vital component in the functioning of the human body. The circulatory system has two divisions which function simultaneously: the pulmonary, which helps in the transportation of the blood to the heart from the lungs and vice versa; and the systemic, which carries the blood from the heart to the rest of the organs in the body and vice versa. Theater in the last 100 years: Love Letters by A.R. Gurney / Online Program

Roger Hendricks Simon and Marian Grudko perform Love Letters, a sweetly moving play for two actors by A.R. Gurney. An interactive discussion will follow the performance, examining the changes in theater over the last 100 years, from the time the library was built through the debut of Love Letters in 1989 and into the present day.   Roger Hendricks Simon is a founding member of the Yale Repertory Company, who went on to direct and act for Joe Papp’s New York Shakespeare Festival, London’s Royal Court Theatre, Edinburgh Festival, Lincoln Center, Brooklyn Academy of Music, La Mama, Roundabout, Los Angeles Theatre Center, PBS, BBC-TV, National Public Radio and many more. April’s Board Meeting Rescheduled

Due to a lack of quorum, the April 2022 meeting of the Pawling Library Board of Trustees has been rescheduled. The meeting will now be held on Thursday April 21st at 6:45 PM in the library annex. Earth Day Project: Save the Library’s Garden

04/22/2022; 4:00 PM Pre-teens and teens are invited to get their hands dirty as we rebuild the Library’s raised beds and container gardens. This project will involve clearing out the old soil and plants, relocating them and preparing them for a new garden. The Library will supply the tools. Participants should bring their own gloves and wear clothes that can get dirty. Earn community service hours for this project. Service Alert

Due to a planned power outage, the library will have a delayed opening on Monday April 4th. We don’t know the exact time when power will be restored, but we will open as soon as we are able.
