She is certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She earned a MS degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and a BS degree in Health Sciences in a three-year program at Mercy College which focused on acupuncture, theory of oriental medicine, Chinese herbology, health sciences, and clinical experience. Her first career was as a research assistant in two basic research laboratories, one at Stanford Medical School and the other at Weill Cornell Medical College. RESCHEDULED: Wide World of Stories

Due to the Severe Storm Watch issued for Dutchess County by the National Weather Service, this afternoon’s meeting of Wide World of Stories for grades K-2 has been rescheduled for next Monday, 5/23, from 4:00 – 5:00 PM. In addition, the 5/30 meeting of the program will be moved to 6/6 due to Memorial Day closures. Wide World of Stories Kits will continue as scheduled. King of the Castle Nerf Battle

05/20/2022, 5:30 PM  Preteens & teens are invited to test their castle building and defense skills at this Nerf battle. We’ll build castles out of boxes to defend our “kings” from attack by the other kingdom. First kingdom to capture the opponent’s king is declared the winner. The Library will supply the boxes to build the castles and an assortment of Nerf weapon. Participants are welcome to bring their own Nerf toys. To be in the Library Annex or courtyard. She was nominated for a Pushcart Prize 2022. Recently she appeared in Delta Poetry Review, Poet Magazine, Amsterdam Quarterly, and won Grand Prize in StoriArts’Maya Angelou poetry contest. She received a grant from Arts Mid-Hudson and was selected for Poets Respond to Art 2020, 2021 and 2022 shows. Roger Hendricks Simon and Marian Grudko perform Love Letters, a sweetly moving play for two actors by A.R. Gurney.
